Milestones and benchmarks are developed to help
organization in the implementation of processes. There are multiple steps to
consider with implementation of milestone and benchmark. Milestones and
benchmarks define the scope of the prevention and identifying issues in the
organization. For example, the milestone will be some goals that organization
has set and the benchmark would be the steps and actions to achieve those
specific goals. Milestones and benchmarks are used as a tool in planning
process to decide what will happen in the process. They are precise criteria
used to measure short term organizational success, but their final
effectiveness will depend on the organizational alignment with long term
vision. To achieve benchmark or milestone tells the organization that they are
